note: I think new versions of Internet Explorer do NOT
stream the file as in older versions of the browser - you might need to save
it on your computer - then double click it to play. Hopefully you will play
it in iTunes and NOT Windows
Media Player as it sounds WORSE on that for some reason. It sounds GREAT
in iTunes or WinAmp
The
Secrets in The Sauce is a grooving jazzy rock
number with a bass line that could be in a Doors song. It was
inspired by something I heard Frank Zappa say... "The
secrets in the sauce". I originally recorded this song
in my spare bedroom and a young lady by the name of Julie Sicklesteel
was kind enough to record her voice into my sampler saying "The
secrets in the sauce"
and "Yummy" and "It tastes so good". I
worked those into the song along with a basketball kick drum
and other cool samples.
"I like it!"
This
is the edited version and has a few passages that maxed out the
volume levels a bit. Consider it intentional
and pretend I had one of those grungy retro plugins making it
sound that way - we'll all feel better thinking that was the
desired effect!
Instruments
include: Roland D-70, Oberhem M1000 and Ensoniq EPS-16+. All
instruments and vocals by Mike Liebner with samples by Julie
Sicklesteel.
